Short Courses & Workshops

At Le Cheval Blanc we take pride in creating innovative meat-free meals. We want everyone to have the knowledge and skills they need to enjoy meat-free dining. If you’re just getting started with vegetarian, vegan and plant-based cooking, or are just looking for a few days away with a difference, join us for one of our cooking workshops. Whether you’re a seasoned veggie, transitioning vegan, flexitarian or just a bit curious we have something for everyone.

Our Workshops

We run a mixture of half- and full-day workshops as well a some residential classes, so come and learn some new skills in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Workshops take place in our purpose-built kitchen at Le Cheval Blanc, our bed and breakfast in St Antonin Noble Val, around an hour from Toulouse.

Natalie especially enjoys cooking demonstrations. Watch her making her amazing creations while she keeps your glass topped up! Our residential courses can also include foraging expeditions, trips to local markets and visits to food and wine producers. If you’re looking for something more in-depth, we also have longer residential courses. These are also a great way to take your cooking to the next level.

Past Cooking Workshops

Last year we ran a variety of workshops, many of which we will repeat in 2020, including:

  • Get Started with Vegan Cooking, that introduced some simple but essential meat- and dairy-free recipes and ingredients.
  • Vegan Streetfood, focused on classic dishes from this style of cookery, such as buffalo cauliflower wings
  • Vegetarian and Vegan Christmas Dinner, which speaks for itself! Good new for turkeys.
  • Vegetarian Christmas Canapes and Party Food, where Natalie shared a selection of her tried and tested party recipes.

We are constantly developing new themes, so if you’re looking for something in particular and don’t see it in the list, or would like us to rerun a past workshop, get in touch.

What’s included?

The price for the workshops includes all ingredients, an apron and recipe cards to keep. Some workshops can be adapted to accommodate food allergies such as gluten so get in touch to discuss your needs.

And there's free time to visit our wonderful market and the stunning medieval village of St Antonin.
