Residential Courses

Our cooking residentials are the intense end of what we do.  They’re for people who want to spend most of their time in the kitchen brushing up on their cooking skills and increasing their repertoire.  If you’d prefer a more leisurely experience, our Foodie Adventures might be more your thing.

Residentials vary in length from 3 – 5 days.  There will be a mix of demos and hands-on cooking in a fun, supportive environment, where we’ll cook around 6 – 7 dishes per day.  We’ll eat lunch together, which will be what we’ve cooked in the morning, and you’ll be welcome to take food away to eat in the evening.  They’re suitable for any level of experience and can be suitable for vegetarians, vegans or both. Maximum group size is 8.

Each residential has different content and will also depend on what’s looking good at the market that week.  I’m a particular fan of French, mediterranean and middle eastern cooking, but we’ll also look at flavour combinations, especially how you can keep your omni friends happy!   Specialist store cupboard ingredients are also important, you’ll learn what they are, where to get them and how to use them.

There will be lots of tips and tricks and I’ll always do my best to demystify cooking so that you’ll use what you learn when you get back home.
