If you’re planning a trip to St Antonin Noble Val and are looking for somewhere to stay in, look no further than our beautifully restored 16th Century Auberge. From this medieval building in the heart of the town, we offer bed and breakfast as well as evening meals, by arrangement.
All our rooms have en-suite shower rooms and supremely comfortable, generously-sized beds made up with luxurious Egyptian cotton bed linen. All beds are super-king as standard, but for multi-night bookings can be replaced by two singles with 24-hours notice, except for the smaller room in our family suite, which can only have single beds.
Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the building and all rooms also have an Ethernet socket.
We give guide prices for the rooms below, but for a firm quote and to check availability please click on the Book a Room button.
All prices include breakfast, bed linen, towels, toiletries and local taxes. We may make a small additional charge for special dietary requirements.
Discounts may be available for longer stays, especially in low season. Contact us for details.
Mazerac is a very large sunny room with fantastic views across the roofscape of St Antonin, the Aveyron gorge and the Rocs d’Anglar. It looks out on our leafy courtyard and a quiet pedestrianised square beyond, so there’s never any traffic noise. The room is usually made up for 2 people with a super king bed, but it can accommodate up to 4 people in any combination of singles and doubles with 24 hours notice. Price ranges from €85 for 2 people in low season to €130 for 4 people during the summer months.
Capucine is a suite of two rooms with an interconnecting door. The smaller room has twin beds while the larger room has a super-king bed. The rooms share a wet room and separate toilet which are accessed from the larger room. Both look out on Rue Droite, one of the most beautiful medieval streets in town. The road has almost no traffic and is always quiet. Capucine is especially suitable for families and small groups. Price ranges from €80 for 2 people in low season to €115 for 4 people in peak season.
Bessarel is a double ensuite room offering the only view in town of the interior of the abandoned 13th Century Maison Muratet. The cliffs of the Aveyron gorge are also visible. Guests often comment on the beautiful natural light and the tranquillity Bessarel enjoys.
Le Cheval Blanc offers a wide range of facilities. Uniquely in town we have a kitchen for the exclusive use of guests, and a large communal dining/relaxing area, which makes self-catering straightforward. We regularly host family get-togethers and small groups who say they appreciate having space for socialising and eating together, especially when they book the whole building.
In our communal area you’ll find a fire, some books, guide books of the local area along with maps and tourist information. There is a selection of board games as well as tea and coffee making facilities. There is also an “honesty bar”, where you can help yourself to a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Our guests often say how much they like the tranquility of Le Cheval Blanc. It’s for that reason we’ve decided not to provide televisions. However our internet connection is very fast so, if you bring a tablet, you’ll be able to stream your entertainment online. Alternatively, if you’re here during a major sporting event that you want to watch, it’s great fun to join the locals in a bar and watch on the big screen.
Because our speciality is vegetarian and vegan fine food, you can look forward to a delicious meat-free breakfast. Our breakfast are always freshly made and we use local ingredients as much as possible.
In addition to breakfast we offer two types of evening meal to our bed and breakfast guests.
Our 3-course evening meals are €28 per person and includes a welcome apero, wine and coffee. Take a look at our Persian-themed menu and vegan streetfood menu for examples. We need a few days notice for this, and it’s subject to availability for a minimum of two people.
Our 2-course meals are €15 including wine and coffee. These meals are closer to home cooking and almost always available.
We can accommodate most other requirements including gluten free, but we use nuts extensively in our kitchen so we can’t guarantee that any of our dishes are suitable for people with nut allergies.
Magnifique maison d'hôte idéalement située, joliment décorée et avec de très belles vues! Accueil parfait, petit déjeuner copieux... N'hésitez pas à séjourner au Cheval Blanc!
There were three of us and we were really in France on business - we had a wonderful very large room, clean and comfortable. Because it was quiet we had access to the kitchen and sitting/dining room which was perfect for us - both to be able to cater for ourselves and space to discuss and work. Peter and Natalie made us really welcome which went towards making our stay exceptional St Antonin is beautiful and full of history. We want to thank you both very much.
Bien amicalement
We very much enjoyed our stay in your home and your hospitality. The room was lovely and so was the breakfast. The added benefit of the kitchen for use by the guests is great. The addition of a TV in the Dining Room may be an additional facility you may wish to consider for guests on longer stays wishing to keep up with the news. Thank you again for a very enjoyable stay!
Thank you for your kind hospitality, Peter and Natalie. We had a wonderful stay at your Chambre d'hôte. We enjoyed visiting with you and appreciate the time you took sharing your knowledge of the area with us. It is obvious that you both love your work - your friendliness and caring attitude toward your guests is, I'm sure, greatly appreciated by all who are fortunate enough to stay at Le Cheval Blanc.
Peter and Natalie speak both French and English fluently which was very advantageous to us speaking only English. They have a strong knowledge of the area and had lots of tips on where to go to see the sights. We were also given excellent restaurant recommendations.
The owners were the perfect hosts, they were very helpful giving lots of information about the village and surrounding area. Our room was very large and comfortable with good on suit facilities, with a beautiful view of the valley. The continental breakfast was excellent, including home made cake & pancakes. We will be back to see more of the area
Set in a lovely medieval town with plenty of restaurants and cafe's. Lots of places to visit by car.
We enjoyed our one week stay in your charming and lovely B&B in a historic 16th century building. Breakfast was great, fresh brewed coffee and croissants, delicious home make cakes and scones. The beds are comfortable and the shower was great. Very friendly host and hostess, not forgetting little Sam too! one of the Best B&B we had stayed!
The B&B is well located. Lots of good restaurants in the area. A beautiful and historic village, the Sunday market is a nice experience . The locals are friendly. A feeling of artisan walking and exploring the place and shops. Kayaking ,bicycling and hiking are also popular.
Très bon accueil. Petit déjeuner gratuit très copieux. Très grande chambre, bien décorée. Très bonne literie. Possibilité d'utiliser la cuisine et la salle à manger pour les repas. Wifi gratuit appréciable.
Very centrally located B&B. Rooms are quiet because the building next door is abandoned. Despite it being hot and a fan being provided in the room, we managed fine at night with the airflow from having the windows open. The owner is very friendly and breakfast is wellstocked. You are right near one of the main squares in Saint Antonin, so it's very convenient
This is a fantastic place to stay and we really liked the space and the facilities that Le Cheval Blanc provided. The owners were also very friendly and helpful and went out of the way to make sure our stay was enjoyable.
Antonin Nobel Val is a great location to be able to explore other towns in the region eg Penne. There are lots of choices for restaurants but can recommend L'Auberge des Sens. Being able to paddle down the river was also a great experience - we did a half day paddle.
