Now we’ve stopped doing B&B to concentrate on being a cookery school, we’ve realised that we have great accommodation in a great holiday destination, but it’s empty between courses. The solution is to put it on Airbnb for peak season which we’ve done, but those guys charge commission, so we’re also offering it direct at a lower price.

St Antonin, our village is a fabulous place for a summer holiday. We’re in a quiet location in the village centre, so you have lively bars and restaurants on the doorstep and the stunning medieval architecture to admire. You can swim either in the sparking river Aveyron or the village’s wonderful outdoor pool, both a couple of minutes walk from us. We’re surrounded by beautiful countryside which starts a 5 minute walk from the house where you can enjoy a wide variety of outdoor activities including walking, cycling, kayaking and climbing. There are an endless variety of day trips to do although you’ll need a car.

But this is a holiday rental with a (vegan) difference because we also offer:

• We’re vegan and we live here, so we can give you the inside track on where to eat, where to shop and vegan friendly excursions. That’s in addition to all the other stuff you’d expect a local to know about.
• We can offer vegan catering including breakfasts and evening meals*
• As a cookery school, we can offer vegan cookery classes*
• We’re cycling obsessed, so if you want to turn your stay into a group cycling holiday, road, gravel or MTB, guided or self guided, we can sort everything out for you.*

So let’s talk about what the space is like. Essentially you’re getting all of what was originally the living accommodation in the building. The usual capacity is 6 – 8 people, but we can increase it to 10 at extra cost and if people don’t mind sharing.

All the bedrooms are en suite and all super-king beds can be exchanged for 2 singles (with advance notice). There’s a huge double at the back of the house with magnificent views cross the village and down the Aveyron gorge. Extra beds can be added to that room. At the front of the house is our family suite, which is a double with a connecting door to a smaller room with 2 single beds. In the middle is a normal double. All bedrooms are on the second floor. This means that if you’re 3 couples, all will have completely separate facilities. The family suite is great for a couple with kids, or if people don’t mind sharing the en suite. It’s a bit complicated, but that’s medieval buildings for you… Just ask if you’re not sure.

On the first floor are 2 grand living rooms, one normally used for eating, the other for relaxing. There’s also a fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher and washing machine. On the second floor are the bedrooms. All are en-suite and have super king beds, but can be changed for 2 singles with advance notice. The biggest room can accommodate 4 at additional cost. At the front is a family suite, which is a normal double (or twin) en suite room with a connecting door through to a smaller room containing twin beds.

We live in an appartment on the ground floor converted from stabling. So you share the front door and a small entrance hall with us, but once you’re upstairs, it’s all yours. We have storage for bikes in a secure outbuilding, but if you want to use that, we need to know in advance. We’re often around but we’ll respect your privacy at all times.

Booking

You can book on Airbnb if you like, but it’s cheaper done direct. I’m afraid we don’t have online booking for this, you’ll just have to send us a message . Please tell us the dates you’d like and any extras you’re interested in. The basic price for 8 people with no extras is €250 per night with a minimum stay of 4 nights. There’s a message at the bottom of this page saying it’s fully booked. It isn’t, that’s just what happens when I switch online booking off.
