All of our courses are bookable with or without accommodation. This page shows you what our rooms and public areas are like.
All our rooms have en-suite shower rooms and supremely comfortable, generously-sized beds made up with luxurious Egyptian cotton bed linen. All beds are super-king as standard, but can be replaced by two singles with 24-hours notice, except for the smaller room in our family suite, which can only have single beds.
Medieval houses are always complicated. Although ours can sleep up to 8 guests, we only have 3 entirely independent rooms. That’s why all our courses show a maximum of 3 double/twin rooms available. However if you want to lower costs by renting our family suite (Capucine) which sleeps 4, get in touch. We’ve never figured out how to automate that, but we can do it manually for you, no problem.
We have no single rooms, but if you book a single place on one of our courses and a room, you won’t be sharing, unless you book with someone you want to share with.
Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the building and all rooms also have an Ethernet socket. Egyptian cotton bed linen, large fluffy towels and toiletries are provided.
OUR ROOMS
MAZERAC
Mazerac is a very large sunny room with fantastic views across the roofscape of St Antonin, the Aveyron gorge and the Rocs d’Anglar. It looks out on our leafy courtyard and a quiet pedestrianised square beyond, so there’s never any traffic noise. The room is usually made up for 2 people with a super king bed, but it can accommodate up to 4 people in any combination of singles and doubles with 24 hours notice.
CAPUCINE
Capucine is a suite of two rooms with an interconnecting door. The smaller room has twin beds while the larger room has a super-king bed. The rooms share a wet room and separate toilet which are accessed from the larger room. Both look out on Rue Droite, one of the most beautiful medieval streets in town. The road has almost no traffic and is always quiet. If you occupy this room alone or as a couple, the smaller room will be locked.
BESSAREL
Bessarel is a double ensuite room offering the only view in town of the interior of the abandoned 13th Century Maison Muratet. The cliffs of the Aveyron gorge are also visible. Guests often comment on the beautiful natural light and the tranquillity Bessarel enjoys.
COMMUNAL AREAS & FACILITIES
You’ll have the use of our guest kitchen and grand dining/lounge area during your stay. Each morning we serve a light buffet breakfast in the dining room. When you’ve finished cooking for the day you’re welcome take what you’ve cooked upstairs to the guest kitchen for your dinner. We find that people rarely eat out when they’re here, there will be more food available than you’ll be able to eat! But if you fancy a change of scene we can recommend vegan friendly eateries in town.
The kitchen has a bean-to-cup coffee machine stocked with high quality, locally roasted organic coffee beans. There’s also barista oat milk in the fridge and a range of teas.
We can consider off piste bookings for groups who want to book all our accommodation. When we’re not running events our accommodation is sometimes available and we can offer a range of services in addition:
- We could run one of our cookery courses just for your group, or something more bespoke.
- Peter used to run cycling holidays and is still happy to offer that, on or off road, guided or self guided. This area is exceptional for cycling, it really is a hidden gem. Quaility bike hire is available from local suppliers.
- We can organise walking holidays with whatever level of support you want, from self guided GPS based routes to escorted outings with vehicle assistance.
- You could use us as a vegan friendly base for a traditional French holiday, combining Natalie’s fabulous cookery with our in depth local knowledge helping you to get the best from our beautiful region and knowing all the best places to get decent vegan meals.
We no longer offer bed and breakfast for couples.
