The b&b side of the business is now closed because it’s been squeezed out by the success of our vegan cookery school! We simply don’t have the time to do both. However there are still options available if you want to stay with us:
- If you’re a group of family or friends you can rent the whole place airbnb style, especially in August when we don’t run events. That can include meals, workshops and of course access to our encyclopaedic knowledge of the area. Get in touch to start a conversation.
- We’re running a few gourmet weekends throughout the year which include breakfast and evening meals throughout your stay. Details are here.
- If you book an event with us you may be able to extend your stay if we have rooms available. All our events are listed here.
If you’re planning a trip to St Antonin Noble Val and are looking for a vegan bed and breakfast, look no further than our beautifully restored 16th Century Auberge. From this medieval building in the heart of the old town, we offer bed and breakfast as well as evening meals, by arrangement. We also run a vegan cooking school
All our rooms have en-suite shower rooms and supremely comfortable, generously-sized beds made up with luxurious Egyptian cotton bed linen. All beds are super-king as st.andard, but for multi-night bookings can be replaced by two singles with 24-hours notice, except for the smaller room in our family suite, which can only have single beds.
Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the building and all rooms also have an Ethernet socket.
We give guide prices for the rooms below, but for a firm quote and to check availability please click on the Book a Room button. We are sometimes closed for events or during the winter season but may willing to open for you if you get in touch
Our prices include breakfast, bed linen, towels, toiletries and local taxes. We may make a small additional charge for special dietary requirements.
Discounts may be available for longer stays, especially in low season. Contact us for details.
OUR ROOMS
MAZERAC €110–€130
Mazerac is a very large sunny room with fantastic views across the roofscape of St Antonin, the Aveyron gorge and the Rocs d’Anglar. It looks out on our leafy courtyard and a quiet pedestrianised square beyond, so there’s never any traffic noise. The room is usually made up for 2 people with a super king bed, but it can accommodate up to 4 people in any combination of singles and doubles with 24 hours notice. Price ranges from €85 for 2 people in low season to €130 for 4 people during the summer months.
CAPUCINE €95–€140
Capucine is a suite of two rooms with an interconnecting door. The smaller room has twin beds while the larger room has a super-king bed. The rooms share a wet room and separate toilet which are accessed from the larger room. Both look out on Rue Droite, one of the most beautiful medieval streets in town. The road has almost no traffic and is always quiet. Capucine is especially suitable for families and small groups. Price ranges from €80 for 2 people in low season to €115 for 4 people in peak season.
BESSAREL €90–€100
Bessarel is a double ensuite room offering the only view in town of the interior of the abandoned 13th Century Maison Muratet. The cliffs of the Aveyron gorge are also visible. Guests often comment on the beautiful natural light and the tranquillity Bessarel enjoys.
COMMUNAL AREAS & FACILITIES
Le Cheval Blanc offers a wide range of facilities. Uniquely in town we have a kitchen for the exclusive use of guests, and a large communal dining/relaxing area, which makes self-catering straightforward. We regularly host family get-togethers and small groups who say they appreciate having space for socialising and eating together, especially when they book the whole building.
In our communal area you’ll find a fire, some books, guide books of the local area along with maps and tourist information. There is a selection of board games as well as tea and coffee making facilities.
Our guests often say how much they like the tranquility of our vegan bed and breakfast. It’s for that reason we’ve decided not to provide televisions. However our internet connection is very fast so, if you bring a tablet, you’ll be able to stream your entertainment online. Alternatively, if you’re here during a major sporting event that you want to watch, it’s great fun to join the locals in a bar and watch on the big screen.
VEGAN BREAKFAST AND DINING
Because our speciality is vegan fine dining, you can look forward to a delicious plant based breakfast. Our breakfasts are always freshly made and we use local ingredients as much as possible. We even have vegan croissants made especially for us!
In addition to breakfast we offer two types of evening meal to our vegan bed and breakfast guests.
Our 3-course vegan evening meals are €35 per person and includes a welcome apero, wine and coffee. Take a look at our Persian-themed menu and vegan streetfood menu for examples. We need a few days notice for this, and it’s subject to availability for a minimum of two people.
Our 2-course meals are €18 including wine and coffee. These meals are closer to home cooking and almost always available.
If you would like to book an evening meal, please mention this when you book or get in touch direct.
We can accommodate most other requirements including gluten free, but we use nuts extensively in our kitchen so we can’t guarantee that any of our dishes are suitable for people with nut allergies.
