France isn’t known as a destination for a vegan vacation, especially in the countryside, but we’ve managed to create a plant-based oasis here in St Antonin and we’d love to share it with you! Come for one of our gourmet weekends and you’ll enjoy some of the best vegan food you’ll find anywhere while soaking up the ambiance of our quirky medieval town.
Extend your stay and we can tell you the best vegan friendly places to eat, and if your French isn’t up to it, book tables for you. We’ll make sure that whether you eat with us or elsewhere you’ll always enjoy fabulous food.
Apart from our cooking workshops, there are loads of activities to tempt you in St Antonin and around, so you’re welcome to use us as a base for your explorations. We can do that whenever we have space in our accommodation, but it works especially well in peak season when we run fewer residentials. The village is especially known for kayaking in the gorge, but there’s plenty of climbing, cycling (on and off road), walking, wild (and pool) swimming and sundry insane things involving hurling yourself off the cliffs above town. There’s also a thriving arts community who are always doing interesting work.
Nearby are the little known but wonderful Gaillac vineyards, endless unspoiled medieval villages, and for a change of scene, nearby towns to explore, all very different to what we have on the doorstep.
If there are between 6 and 10 of you, we can create a bespoke vegan vacation package, perhaps combining eating with cookery workshops and other activities like foraging. and you’ll enjoy exclusive use of our 16th century auberge. Get in touch to start a conversation.
